WINDOX CV

WINDOX-CV

Composition:-

Cefpodoxime 200 mg +Clavulanic acid 125mg

Uses:-

Cefpodoxime 200 mg + Clavulanic Acid 125 mg tablets are used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from resisting the effects of cefpodoxime. This combination is particularly effective in treating infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues, as well as certain types of ear infections. It is prescribed for conditions like bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, tonsillitis, and urinary tract infections.

Side Effects:-

Common side effects of Cefpodoxime 200 mg + Clavulanic Acid 125 mg tablets include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache. Some patients may experience dizziness, skin rash, or itching. In rare instances, severe allergic reactions (such as swelling, severe rash, or difficulty breathing), severe diarrhea (potentially indicative of a Clostridium difficile infection), and liver dysfunction can occur. If you experience any severe or unusual symptoms, seek medical attention immediately. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting this medication, especially if you have a history of liver disease, kidney disease, or allergies.

Indication:-

This combination tablet is indicated for bacterial infections where beta-lactamase-producing bacteria are suspected or confirmed. It is especially useful in treating mixed infections that involve resistant bacterial strains. The inclusion of clavulanic acid enhances the effectiveness of cefpodoxime by inhibiting the enzymes that some bacteria produce to inactivate the antibiotic.
