Uses:-
Tigecycline 50mg Injection is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections when other antibiotics are not suitable. Here are its main uses:
- Complicated Intra-Abdominal Infections (cIAI): Tigecycline is used to treat complicated intra-abdominal infections, such as appendicitis, peritonitis, and intra-abdominal abscesses.
- Complicated Skin and Skin Structure Infections (cSSSI): It is effective against complicated skin and skin structure infections, including infections involving deep soft tissue or requiring surgical intervention.
- Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP): Tigecycline is prescribed for the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia caused by susceptible bacteria.
- Hospital-Acquired Pneumonia (HAP): It may be used for the treatment of hospital-acquired pneumonia, including ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).
