Uses:-
Clomifen 50 mg is primarily used to treat infertility in women by stimulating ovulation. It is particularly effective for women who have difficulty ovulating on their own, such as those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or irregular menstrual cycles. Clomifen works by encouraging the release of eggs from the ovaries, thereby increasing the likelihood of conception. Occasionally, it is also used in men to address certain types of infertility by boosting sperm production.
Side Effects:-
Common side effects of Clomifen 50 mg include hot flashes, abdominal discomfort, bloating, and breast tenderness. Some users may experience mood swings, headaches, or dizziness. Visual disturbances, like blurred vision or seeing spots, can also occur but are less common. In rare cases, Clomifen can cause ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), which presents with severe abdominal pain, swelling, and shortness of breath. Immediate medical attention should be sought if any severe or unusual symptoms are experienced.
Indication:-
Clomifen 50 mg is indicated for the treatment of ovulatory dysfunction in women who wish to become pregnant. It is used to induce ovulation in women who are not ovulating regularly or not ovulating at all. It may also be prescribed in combination with other fertility treatments such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or assisted reproductive technologies (ART) like in vitro fertilization (IVF) to improve the chances of conception.
