Uses:-
Enalapril 20 mg is a medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It belongs to a class of drugs called ACE inhibitors (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors). Enalapril works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily and lowering blood pressure. It also helps to reduce the workload on the heart in heart failure. Enalapril may be prescribed alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications.
Side Effects:-
While Enalapril 20 mg is generally safe, it may cause some side effects. Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, or dry cough. Some individuals may experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Enalapril can also cause changes in kidney function and electrolyte imbalances. Indication:-
Enalapril 20 mg is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure in adults and children. For hypertension, it is prescribed to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, and other cardiovascular complications. In heart failure, Enalapril helps to improve symptoms such as shortness of breath and swelling, and it may improve the heart’s ability to pump blood effectively.
