CALPINE trio 12.5

Composition:-

Cilnidipine 10mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5 mg + telmisartan 40 mg

Uses:-

Cilnidipine 10mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5mg + Telmisartan 40mg is a combination medication prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker, Chlorthalidone is a diuretic (water pill), and Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Together, they work synergistically to lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, reducing fluid retention, and blocking the action of angiotensin II. This combination helps to control blood pressure and prevent complications associated with hypertension.

Side Effects:-

While Cilnidipine 10mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5mg + Telmisartan 40mg is generally safe, it may cause some side effects. Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, increased urination, or muscle cramps due to Chlorthalidone. Some individuals may experience electrolyte imbalances such as low potassium levels or dehydration. In rare cases, this combination medication may cause more severe side effects such as allergic reactions, low blood pressure, or kidney problems. It’s important to monitor for any adverse effects and seek medical attention if needed.

Indication:-

This combination medication is indicated for the management of hypertension in adults. It is prescribed when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with a single medication. Cilnidipine dilates blood vessels, Chlorthalidone helps the body eliminate excess water and salt, and Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of angiotensin II. By effectively lowering blood pressure, this combination reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular events.
