WINDOX O

Windox-O

Composition:-

Cefpodoxime 200 mg + Ofloxacin 200

Uses:-

Cefpodoxime 200 mg + Ofloxacin 200 mg tablets are used to treat various bacterial infections. Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial cell wall, leading to cell death. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops the bacteria from replicating by interfering with their DNA synthesis. This combination is effective against a wide range of bacteria, making it suitable for treating respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections.

Side Effects:-

Common side effects of Cefpodoxime 200 mg + Ofloxacin 200 mg tablets include gastrointestinal issues like nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. Patients might also experience headaches, dizziness, and trouble sleeping. Serious but rare side effects can include severe allergic reactions, liver enzyme changes, and tendon problems associated with fluoroquinolones like tendonitis or tendon rupture. If you experience severe side effects or signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately. Always inform your healthcare provider of any other medications you are taking and any pre-existing health conditions before starting this treatment.

Indication:-

Cefpodoxime 200 mg + Ofloxacin 200 mg tablets are indicated for the treatment of mixed bacterial infections where both antibiotics are required to cover a wide spectrum of pathogens. These include severe respiratory tract infections like pneumonia and bronchitis, complicated urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain gastrointestinal infections. The dual antibiotic approach helps to ensure comprehensive treatment of the infection and reduces the risk of resistance.
